Lamar County School District (LCSD) recently recognized its school board members. Among those recognized was our attorney Rick Norton. Serving as board attorney is one way I can use my skills as a lawyer to help students. I am optimistic about the future for education in Lamar County because of the teachers and leadership in the District, the volunteers in each school and the focus of the students.” The LCSD thanked Norton for his service to the school board and the district as a whole. Norton was born in Laurel, and raised in Louisiana. He and his wife Lois have been married for 43 years. They have four children, all Oak Grove High School graduates.
